An untitled Alien: Romulus sequel is an upcoming feature film in the Alien franchise that was reported to be in the works in October 2024.[1]
Development[]
By August 2024, Fede Álvarez and other members of the Romulus crew had begun discussing what would happen when (or rather, if) Rain Carradine and Andy made it to Yvaga III. In an interview, Alvarez hinted that Yvaga III isn't the paradise it's made out to be in the film, which could provide the grounds for a sequel. However, he further stated that there was no immediate plans for a sequel, pointing out the fifty seven year gap between Alien and Aliens.[2]
Work on the sequel had begun by October of the same year. Comments from executive producer Steve Asbell have indicated that the film will continue to follow Rain and Andy.[3]
