- "Guess we found the big–ass version of these damn eggs."
"Doesn’t matter how big you are, this creature will adapt. It always does." - ―Martinez and Maeko Hayes upon finding Titan Ovomorph eggs (from Aliens: Dark Descent)
The Titan Ovomorph was a gigantic variety of a Xenomorph egg. It was the first stage in the life cycle of the Titan Xenomorph species. A large number of Titan Ovomorphs were situated in Xeno City.
Characteristics[]
- "This way. Don’t be afraid; you don’t exactly match what they were made for."
- ―Synthetic Marlow, regarding the Titan Ovomorphs (from Aliens: Dark Descent)
Titan Ovomorphs resembled and functioned similarly to typical Xenomorph eggs. However, unlike the typical Ovomorphs, Titan variants were much larger in comparison and did not react to the presence of nearby humans, as they were too small for the parasite within the egg. Instead, the variants were made for a much larger beings, such as the Ancient Citizens.
History[]
Thought just a speculation, the Ovomorph eggs were either bred in the Xeno city, or were brought into the city. The creatures adapted to the morphology of the Ancients.[1]
After unknown periods of time, the Xeno City was uncovered by miners and the city was researched by Marlow. In 2198 a group of Colonial Marines who went into Xeno City in search for Cassandra, came across Titan Ovomorphs. Following nuclear blasts most likely destroyed the Xeno City, along with the Titan Ovomorphs.
