Dr. Timothy Hoenikker is a theoretical archaeologist who works for the Weyland-Yutani Corporation.

Biography.

Early Days.

Timothy Hoenikker was the only boy of a couple who died in a fire, although he had a sister. He had never married and around 2180's, he had enough good marks to get a full ride at university.[1] While he was student there, he dated Monica Enright, going into concerts and library. He left her because he was afraid that his dream of becoming a scientist would be put in check by her.[2]

Twenty years later, now a Theoretical archaeologist, he was working for Weyland-Yutani as a corporate in a cushy office. He was convinced by his friend Stokes convinced him to take a job in Pala Station in the jungle planet of LV-895, studying alien artifacts. This was in part due to his ambition to become a renowned expert in alien anthropology.[3]

Arriving at Pala Station.

"You could travel tot he edge of the known universe, discover wonders no man had ever seen, and better for it. Be boring and stay here. Or be dangerous and travel far."
―Stokes to Hoenikker (Aliens: Infiltrator)

On January 12th, 2202. Dr. Timothy Hoenikker, arrives at the classified research facility Pala Station.[4] Upon arrival, Hoenikker is greeted by the station's Reception Tech and veteran Colonial Marine, Victor Rawlings, and gets a quick tour before being introduced to Med-Lab Section Chief Mansfield and scientist Dr. Erin Kash and Dr. Étienne Lacroix. Hoenikker soon learns that he will not be studying alien artifacts as promised, but instead will be working testing the effects of a pathogen of unknown origin on living specimens named Rat-X and Leon-895.

At the science lab, Hoenikker bonded with Kash, who tells him about ther past before being hired and lured there by Weyland-Yutani. Kash was a surgeon at a hospital in a mining colony six months prior. Their conversation is cut short when Cruz arrived, warning them about specimen Rat-X, which escaped by spitting acid to the glass.[5] After the incident, Cruz used the compromised containment unit as an improvised shooting range, and taught Hoenikker how to use a weapon.

When rats are discovered with implanted MPDT's on them, the existence of a mole inside the station is hinted. Hoenikker suggest hacking the signal and checking the movements of employees around the site where it was found. Because the rats must have been brought to the station recently, he was a primary suspect.[6] Hoenikker was interrogated by Mr. Tacker along with Steven Fairbanks, the only staff members who had recently arrived, but as he had no consistent proof of them being the culprit, he let them go.

The next day, while Hoenikker and the rest of the lab staff prepared the containment cells for the xenomorphs due to arrive, Tacker and Howard had found Fairbanks was the mole and had arrived to arrest him. Cornered, he released Leon-895. Hoenikker fled, pursued by the now human-sized monster killing Howard, Mansfield and three others.

Due to the two escape incidents, Thompson is relieved from command by Vincent Bellows,[7] the new station commander, who scolded the lab staff, warning everyone a second shipment of xenomorphs from Katanga would be shuttling down in the afternoon. Hoenikker was invited by Rawlings to join a group he's putting together if something bad happens. Dr. Kash is put in charge of the xenomorph experimentation, she explains Hoenikker its life cycle and the backstory of Katanga, an orbital refinery which was infected when miners in the planet encountered xenomorphs. She also let out the fact that Pala Station was built before to study strange artifacts covered in glyphs Mansfield brought from somewhere.[8]

Studying Xenomorphs.

Twelve xenomorph eggs were received in stasis containers. Hoenikker was introduced into the xenomorph's life cycle by Kash, she tells him they will be working with the plagiarus praepotens only, before Cruz announced Bellows wants adult specimens. The lab staff protested about using humans to breed xenomorphs but Bellows implicitly threatened Hoenikker about his sister. They reluctantly complies as Cruz assured them that the "volunteers" are criminals who had signed an agreement with Weyland-Yutani in exchange for some favors.[9]

Nine men and three women are put in the contaiment rooms with an ovomorph. Hoenikker is reunited with his college ex-girlfriend Monica Enright, one of the human test subjects. He had the chance to talk to her thanks to Rawlings and Cruz, she revealed Tim he had signed to avoid life sentence in a terraforming prison because she's a serial killer.[10] She later gave birth to Test Subject #3, a xenomorph with dark and leathery striped skin. Hoenikker described it as malevolent. Hoenikker also hypothesized the albino Seven is a kind of super-drone, capable of leading others in the absence of a Queen.

Afterwards, Hoenikker helped Cruz and security hunt the missing Leon-895, who had atacked and killed an operator. He and Cruz found it in one of the corridors. Cruz was finally able to wound it and Hoenikker killed it.[11]

Outbreak on Pala Station.

Things gone awry when a mutated Fairbanks rampaged though the station, killing anyone on its path. Every xenomorph started attacking their containment glass. Kash and Hoenikker fled the lab and hide into the his room as the specimens escape into the station. He and Kash are later found by Cruz, who wants to escape to the San Lorenzo in a shuttle. Hoenikker, Cruz, Cash and Étienne crossed paths with a group of Bellow's men and informed them about what's Seven turning the mess hall into a makeshift Hive. They decided to hook up with Rawlings and his group who were heading to Engineering. In route, Hoenikker managed to kill a xenomorph before reuniting with Rawlings, McGann and Buggy. The group decided to look after a hunting lodge somewhere two kilometers from the station.

Thirty six hours later, the station's power was snapped off by the Xenomorphs, leaving the place in darkness. Hoenikker guessed the xenomorphs had used south access and destroyed a nearby power node. When the lights were back, the mess hall was empty and the xenomorphs have destroyed the security cameras.[12] The group geared up to reach the shuttle bay, killing several xenomorphs as a unit of marines.

Less than hundred meters from the shuttle bay, they heard a short-lived fight between a group of humans and xenomorphs. The group was attacked by the surviving creatures, Buggy lost an arm to an adult xenomorph and Rawlings used acid blood to cauterize the wound. They entered the laboratory where they find Étienne, still alive thanks to a pheromone based deterrent he had invented. They were joined by commander Bellows, the only survivor. Bellows explained that Seven is holding the area just outside the shuttle bay with a few xenomorphs, and seeing no other option, he reluctantly gives them the shuttle's access code.

Hoenikker and the others made one last fight against Seven and eleven Xenomorphs. Rawlings and Buggy fell first, Hoenikker fired at Cruz' flamethrower under the latter's orders, sacrificing himself to finish off Seven. Bellows tried to abandon them and run towards the shuttle but was dragged into the flames by a dying Seven.

Escape from LV-895

Hoenikker, Kash and Étienne then boarded the ship and left Pala Station bound for the San Lorenzo in orbit. Hoenikker shot the Leon-895 who stowed itself inside the escaping shuttle and killed Étienne. The shuttle prepared to dock with the San Lorenzo when suddenly, Monica -Test Subject #3 -appeared looking at then from the outside, the xenomorph was trying to get in by punching a hole. Kash and Hoenikker boarded the San Lorenzo. He managed to sent an emergency message from the ship's bridge while Kash watched his back.[13]

Kash was killed by Monica and Hoenikker, with no other place to go, boarded Katanga trough the umbilical pursued by the xenomorph. He crept deeper and deeper into the refinery and barricaded himself there, waiting for an uncertain fate.

Aftermath.

"Anybody out there. Anybody. This is Dr. Timothy Hoenikker from Pala Station. Everyone is dead. Please come. I am on San Lorenzo. We have an infiltration of-"
―Dr. Timothy Hoenikker's emergency transmission from the San Lorenzo (Aliens: Infiltrator).

In March 2202, the USS Endeavour received Hoenikker's transmission and 1st Lt. Santos sent a three squad marines to find and rescue Hoenikker from Katanga refinery.[14]
