The Essential Comics series are a series of comic book trade paperback reprints that were published by Dark Horse Books in 2020. The Essential Comics releases were an attempt by Dark Horse Comics at reissuing the key comics from the Aliens, Predator and Aliens vs. Predator lines in a uniform format, making them readily accessible to readers once more. However, owing to Marvel Comics' acquisition of the rights to Alien and Predator comic books that same year, the program was cancelled after only first few releases had been published, with all subsequent releases being cancelled.
