The Devil, also known as Lucifer, was a Yautja that came to Earth in the first half of the 1860's during the American Civil War. He preyed on both Confederate and Union soldiers alike during the conflict.
In If It Bleeds[]
The Devil, after killing and stringing up about nine Union men, follows one escapee to the Confederate side and proceeds to kill them as well. Goose, John Boy, and Cracker Jack are all killed in the hunt. The hunter pursues Stonewall Jackson, who manages to make it back to his men, with minimal injuries. Realizing he cannot beat the hunter, Stonewall discards his gun and to even the odds, the Hunter deactivates his Plasmacaster and discards his armor. Upon seeing his face, Stonewall, believing the Predator to be the devil, draws his knife and does battle with the hunter.
He begins losing, until the Union soldier captured earlier manages to kill the distracted hunter with a powerful attack from a grapeshot canon, splitting the hunter's head clean into pieces. After the Predator is killed, Stonewall decides to torch the body, thinking his men will not fight if they knew the devil made its home on the battlefield.
