- Season 2, episode 11 of the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated television series featured villains known as Pizza Monsters which bore a strong resemblance to the Xenomorph, so much so that NECA created a "Sewer Mutation Warrior Alien" figure based on the animated creatures for their Aliens line.
- The 2007 computer-animated Ninja Turtles film titled TMNT featured a scene set in a Central American jungle where the character Leonardo remained hidden until he was spotted by someone who asked "What are you?" which is a direct reference to a scene from the 1987 feature film Predator.
