Clarification?[]

Not sure that "L-1 Lucien-Avril System" is the star system but rather indicating an L1 (Lagrange point) within the "Lucien-Avril system"? Aliens Colonial Marines Technical Manual states: "Titleman station, L-1 Lucien-Avril system (Lacaille 8760 IV)" which to me reads that Titleman station is located at the L1 point somewhere between the Lucien-Avril system's sun and the planet Lacaille 8760 IV but I could be wrong. Perhaps someone else could chime in. Yautjaaa (talk) (Contribs) 09:49, 24 August 2024 (UTC)

There's no evidence to support the scenario you are suggesting. OtterSurf (talk) (Contribs) 10:04, 24 August 2024 (UTC)
Just noticed that the way this system is named in CMTM differs to how others are named in said document and actually this is supported by how the Titleman station page was actually written a long time ago by other users, so there must be some source that supports this. L-1 is actually another way to write L1 particularly in typewriter-written material (which the CMTM appears to emulate in its layout) and was common in the 90's when the book was written. Yautjaaa (talk) (Contribs) 10:19, 24 August 2024 (UTC)
The original version of the article contained speculation and supposition, which includes the definition of the L–1 designation. I think you're reading too much into this. OtterSurf (talk) (Contribs) 10:29, 24 August 2024 (UTC)
You are of course entitled to your own opinion as am I. However I'm seeing this line of thinking across the wikia which is why I put it out there on the talk page for others to chime in on and why I didn't edit the pages directly. Yautjaaa (talk) (Contribs) 10:32, 24 August 2024 (UTC)
This is not a matter of opinion. It is a matter of fact. That is how the system name is presented in the ACMTM, with no extrapolation given. Please stick to the source; this goes for all articles. OtterSurf (talk) (Contribs) 10:48, 24 August 2024 (UTC)
