"Black Liquid"[]
Where does this name come from? It don't remember it being used in the film (even if it was, there would be no need to capitalize it) and shouldn't be in the Weyland site. - I think due to the lack of an official name at the time, the page creator simply coined the substance by its appearance, "Black Liquid". I have seen others call it "Black Goo" as well but now at least we have a proper name for the article. The Cruentus (talk) (Contribs) 23:48, January 9, 2014 (UTC)
- As Cruentus said, I think it was coined by fans. However, in this case, I think it's widespread enough, and the official name is obscure enough (I had never heard of Chemical A0-3959X.91 – 15 until you posted it on here, and I'm sure many others won't have either) for it to be left on the page. The missing link?[]
I believe that the agent is the first step in the creation of the Xenomorph race or was created from them. The engineers could have gone to war with the Yautja at least 100,000 years ago and tested they there weapon on Xenomorph prime creating. they then used the Xeno’s as a second generation biological weapon. the Xenomorph were a worthy pray for the Yautja and were used as they are in avp as initiation pray for young Yautja. The war between the two races would most likely be for the Predators advanced technology as they have no need for hyper sleep when traveling interstellar distances as there ships speed seem to surpass several other spacecraft in the science fiction genre.
The engineers would want do destroy us as the Yautja took a interest in us and taught us science in exchange for use as hosts. also as a that values hunting as much as they do it would be taboo for them to wipe out a species as they would want to hunt it. Similarity to Spores in Unused Alien3 script?[]
Is it worth adding a note that the Black Goo seems very similar to the "Alien Spores" that feature prominently in the unused Alien3 script by William Gibson, perhaps as a "Trivia" note?
