Finding the Second Draft[]
Gosh it's been years since I've been online. So I probably haven't looked nearly as hard as I should have but I thought it'd be easier just to ask here. Has anyone found a transcript for Gibson's second draft? I searched a few places for leads, some forums and blogs, but I haven't found one.

- Unlike the first draft, which is readily available to download from numerous script websites, the second draft seems to only be available from people who already have it, if that makes sense. I have a copy, but you probably don't want to be giving out your personal email address on here so I can get it to you. I'd recommend you simply ask on a forum somewhere. Someone over at AVPGalaxy will almost certainly be able to get a copy to you. That's where I got mine.--

Actually, it's directly available on AvP Galaxy: https://www.avpgalaxy.net/files/scripts/alien-3-william-gibson-1988-01.pdf Hueymakt (talk) (Contribs) 23:05, 22 August 2025 (UTC)
Why no external links to scripts???[]
Why is there no "External Links" section to link directly to the two screenplay drafts? Fans should have the option to read it - even if it can't be hosted directly (as Vincent Ward and John Fasano's is). I would add the link myself, but I am hesitant to add ANYTHING to this site - its organization and "rules" elude me and I don't want to step on toes or have the edit reversed. revised 1st Draft: http://www.horrorlair.com/scripts/alien3_gibson.html 1st Draft (site currently unavailable): http://www.jokerdesigns.com/alienhost/downloads/script-alien3gib.txt 2nd Draft: https://www.avpgalaxy.net/files/scripts/alien-3-william-gibson-1988-01.pdf Hueymakt (talk) (Contribs) 23:05, 22 August 2025 (UTC)
- Hey Huey! Try this for starters Alien III (William Gibson) — first draft transcript. I know Xenopedia can seem a little overwhelming to some but my advice is always to FIRST use the "category" links to navigate from one page to other closely related pages to find what you are looking for. SECOND if you want to edit or add something, pull up a page that you want to mimic and in a new tab, open the page you want to edit. Use the "Source Editing" option on both pages to copy and paste code from the first page into the page you want to edit. Even if you place something in the wrong spot, there are those here who will either fix, rearrange, or consolidate the information you added. Don't hesitate to reach out with any questions!

That's not how wikis usually work though - external links are normally linked from the relevant page itself. If the full script is on this wiki, it should be DIRECTLY linked - I shouldn't have to dig around to find it. Appreciate you adding the link - but what about his Second Draft, or the other "missing" scripts that are available on the internet? As far as editing pages, I am hesitant because the organization doesn't make sense to me. I added some missing Isolation DLC to the DLC "disambiguation" page, but because some of them are "Map DLCs" and are linked from a Map page, my edit was reversed. But they are both Maps and DLC - most wikis would link them from BOTH "disambiguation" pages, regardless of any Categories. Categories should be an AID - not the only way to find something. So, I won't be editing any pages - because I don't understand the logic behind the Organization, and don't understand the "rules" that are assumed by regular users but are not obvious to people like me, who are familiar with wikis in general. I have both William Gibson scripts downloaded now, as well as several others - but other people may not be as lucky at finding them - on the internet or on this wiki itself.
