Does anyone else feel like the creators of this book just browsed the AVP wiki for (frankly unsourced and speculative) information about the alien castes and just slapped it in their book and gave it all a level of canonicity?Jaxterhammer (talk) (Contribs) 07:45, January 10, 2020 (UTC)

Yep.
Plus the occasional idea based on toys (the Xenomorph Worker basically sounds like that weird albino thing with the giant donkey dick tongue that NECA put out a few years ago) along with the odd reference to old comic series in the star map. I've only flicked through the Xenomorph section so far but it already looks like a bit of a mess. A lot of it reeks of pure gameplay mechanics included solely to give the RPG some variation and balance rather than standing up to any logical scrutiny. It's a shame because the political and world-building stuff in the book is generally pretty ace. But from what I've seen, the Alien stuff reminds me of AVP: Extinction, which was likewise full of a load of game mechanic b.s. that works great when you're playing but fails to gel with anything else in the franchise and doesn't really make a lick of sense when considered outside of the game.
Sorting this out is gonna be rough.--Buck-ark LEIGH BURNE(Talk) 14:56, January 21, 2020 (UTC)
