- "The ship, the structure, the entity itself, there's so much to learn."
- ―Singer (from Prometheus: Life and Death)
Singer was a Synthetic pilot with the United States Colonial Marine Corps. He was part of the 31-Marine platoon aboard the combat ship Hasdrubal that landed on the planet Tartarus, kick-starting a massive series of events that led to an all out battle for survival against a clan of Yautja, mutated Xenomorphs and the godlike Engineers.
Biography[]
Exploring the planet[]
- "Why couldn't we see that from orbit?"
"I don't have a ready answer, captain -- and that is potentially more troubling than the object itself." - ―Paget and Singer regarding the Juggernaut (Predator: Life and Death)
Singer was part of the combat ship Hasdrubal on a mission to prosecute any potential illegal prospectors on the planet LV-797, nicknamed Tartarus. The Hasdrubal was serving the interests of the Weyland-Yutani Corporation, which had scheduled the planet for terraforming. Aboard the flight deck of the ship, Singer informed Captain Paget on numerous cluster voids on the equatorial belt of the planet's atmosphere.

Singer would go on to pilot the platoon using two dropships, with Singer remote piloting Roth's squad's ship to the planet. Whilst exploring the terrain, Paget's squad was met with a Seegson excavation site. Upon further exploration, Singer, Paget and Wey-Yu representative Lorimer suddenly encountered an Engineer Juggernaut. Paget asked Singer why they were unable to see the ship from orbit, the latter unsure. Although she shut down Lorimer's attempts to have the Marines secure the vessel, Singer expressed eagerness in examining the ship. Roth suddenly radioed in, informing Paget that they had recovered Seegson asset-stripper Laurence Goode. Paget and her squad regrouped at the excavation site, and she interrogated Goode on what happened, with Goode saying that his crew were slaughtered by unknown assailants.
Later, Ancane informed Paget that they had lost contact with one of the search teams, Chimo, Garland and Herrman, with Paget ordering Singer to use the Hasdrubal to scan the vicinity in hopes of finding them.
Soon, Paget heard the sound of Smartgun fire in the distance. Suddenly, two more survivors of the excavation team emerge and greet the squad - Melville and Captain Humble.
Plan to secure the derelict[]
- "We could launch it. It's actually quite straight-forward."
- ―Singer regarding the Juggernaut (from Predator: Life and Death)
It was revealed that Roth and his squad were caught up in a brutal firefight with a clan of Yautja. After they reunited with Paget at the excavation site, Melville explained to the Marines that the hunters seemed to be treating the ship as an artefact, and that they were protecting it from invaders, wishing to recover it's secrets for themselves.

Cracked Tusk preparing to kill Singer.
Paget decided to send Sergeant Roth and his team into one of their dropships, piloted by Singer, to fly over to the Juggernaut and secure its interior whilst Paget's team approached the vessel by foot, attempting to sweep the forest using M314 Motion Trackers to flush out the hunters. However, the Elder Cracked Tusk Predator ambushed the dropship, landing on the ship and driving his Combistick into it, destroying the stabilizers and causing it to crash. The Predator then reached into the crashed ship's cockpit and pulled out Singer, preparing to kill him. However, Rucker managed to wound the Cracked Tusk and caused it to flee.
The squad continued on foot into the vessel's interior, eventually finding the cockpit, containing a sarcophagus-like object. Singer suggested that he would be able to get the ship operational and have the ship leave Tartarus and abandon the Predators, and managed to lift the vessel. The Cracked Tusk Predator suddenly ambushed the squad a second time, appearing behind Wearing and decapitating Schrader. Eventually, it was killed by Captain Humble after gunning it down with a Pulse rifle. With the vessel lifted, Singer planned to send it to the nearest USCM facility, Ganymede station.
Awakening the Engineer[]
- "It was humanoid, Mr. Melville. Titanic. There was something perfect about it."
- ―Singer to Melville (from Prometheus: Life and Death)

The Engineer awakens from stasis in front of the marines.
Singer was busy attempting to establish comms with the Hasdrubal whilst the other Marines waited and discussed matters. One Marine, Indelicato, inspected the sarcophagus against Roth's wishes, that was previously damaged following the battle with Cracked Tusk. Singer examined the liquid leaking from the sarcophagus and identified it as amniotic fluid. The sarcophagus suddenly opened and an Engineer emerged from it. Roth pointed his Pulse rifle at it, but Singer stopped him in hopes of establishing contact peacefully. As Indelicato cautiously approached the being, the Engineer suddenly killed him by crushing his head, sending the Marines into a retreat after their weaponry had no effect on it. They were forced to hide as the Engineer began taking control of the ship, directing it to a different destination.
Landing on LV-233[]
- "This substance is a genetic solution that's been artificially Engineered."
"To do what?"
"To Engineer life. I think, with this material, you could alter or accelerate the life template of an entire ecosystem." - ―Singer and Roth (from Prometheus: Life and Death)
Six days later, the vessel landed on the moon LV-223. The Marines promptly walked out of the vessel after the Engineer left and was out of sight. With Singer fascinated by a nearby temple, Roth ordered Singer to set up a distress beacon to contact the Hasdrubal, before ordering the group to set out for shelter, food and water. The group later encountered a small lake of black liquid in a forest, with Singer concluding that their entire surroundings were made up of the liquid, and that it was likely used as some sort of accelerant for organic material.
The Marines were suddenly ambushed by a horde of Xenomorphs, resulting in Rucker being taken and Jhalil wounded by acid blood. As the group were close to being overrun, they were saved by Geryon survivors Angela Foster and Galgo Helder. The Predator Ahab later revealed himself to the group too, much to Roth and his squad's shock and bemusement at seeing a non-hostile Yautja.
Singer and the team regrouped at Foster's base, where they also met fellow Geryon survivors Chris and Jill. Humble asked Angela on the whereabouts of their ship, to which she revealed that all ships they possessed were lost.
Later, after Galgo reported to the group that the Engineer had visited a temple to reawaken a second Engineer from stasis to kill them, the team formulated a plan to leave the moon.
In a plan to seize the Juggernaut, Angela had Ahab and Galgo distract the second Engineer whilst Humble, Angela, Roth, and Singer went to the derelict to deal with the first Engineer, with Singer intending to pilot the ship. The rest of the team, Wearing, Freebody, Chris, Jill, and Melville were to carry the supplies, as well as Jhalil. With Roth providing a distraction, Singer, Angela and Humble all managed to secretly board the Juggernaut. However, the Engineer entered the ship and lifted it, stranding Roth and the others.
Exploring the Juggernaut[]
- "Life on Earth as we know it. It was probably different before they came. They made us in their image."
- ―Singer regarding the origins of humanity (from Prometheus: Life and Death - Final Conflict)

Singer discussing the Engineer mural with Foster and Humble.
During their voyage inside the Juggernaut, Angela, Singer and Humble were investigating a mural depicting an Engineer consuming the liquid from a Steatite Ampule, though Humble was more concerned with the ship's destination. Singer concluded that the mural was a physical representation of how the Engineers used the liquid to alter ecosystems and create life, specifically humans. Foster also concluded that LV-223 was a depot, and that the entire moon was a failed experiment, resulting in the Engineers attempting to purge all life on the moon. Humble spoke up and was more concerned of their destination.
Eventually, they reached the ship's flight deck, discovering that the Engineer had entered stasis and had set the ship to a course to Earth. Foster woke the Engineer up, only to immediately throw a belt of grenades at him and detonate them, killing him. After recovering from the explosion, Singer noticed that the ship was slowing down and that three had arrived at an unknown planet. His fate remains unknown.
Personality and Traits[]
Singer's personality was largely subdued, taking a more cold, logical approach to things, similar to Lance Bishop. He was driven by a deep curiosity towards the Engineer species, and constantly wished to study them and their architecture, a trait that Paget likened to that of a "bright-eyed child".
Unlike fellow synthetic, David, whose curious nature drove him to betraying humanity, Singer ultimately remained on the side of his creators, and was loyal to Paget and her platoon of Marines.
