- "I've got this beauty to protect me. In her, I'm a damn nimble land crab. If anything tries to take a bite, they'll be super disappointed."
- ―Pinar Osman-Riley describing the capabilities of the shell (from Alien: Inferno's Fall)
The shell was a type of armored environment suit.
Background[]
The suit has a self-sustaining air supply and an articulated scaled exterior. [1] It is equipped with all the sensors of a synthetic and its exterior had a rating of over five thousand psi. [2]
The suit's systems allowed an operator to run diagnostics on the suit subsytems and shell integrity. It also allowed the operator to run a wash cycle on the shell, which would clean the sweat off their body while in the suit.[3]
Use by Pinar Osman-Riley[]
Pinar Osman-Riley, whi was unable to biologically tolerate planetary atmosphere, used a shell at the Jùtóu Combine's Svarog Mine on the Union of Progressive Peoples mining planet Shānmén. Following a pathogenic attack on the planet and the mutation of its wildlife, Pinar was confident that no creature could bite through the shell, however, she was seized by a flying Xenomorphic mutant and dropped to her death.[3]
