The Shambala System was a star system and the location of at least two planetary settlements. Between 2184 and 2186, the settlements were evacuated by the United States Colonial Marine Corps as the system was attacked with a mysterious alien pathogen. The attack was blamed on several terrorist organizations including the Children of the Two Divines and the Genesis Collective.
