The SSV Zhukov was a VP-153D Kremlin Class Hunter-Destroyer in service with the Union of Progressive Peoples. In 2184, it was sent by the UPP's Ministry of Space Security to the planet of KOI-571.02 to retrieve data from the MSS Ouragan Testing Facility and nuke it from orbit.[2]
History[]
After Corinth Colony and the nearby Ouragan Testing Facility on the Union of Progressive Peoples planet KOI-571.02 were the site of a Biodrone Xenomorph infestation instigated by Deep Void,[3] Ouragan's local Ministry of Space Security officer Colonel Doctor Béla Balázs attempted to counter the Biodrones with neomorph spores. When that course of action failed, Balázs nuked Corinth and attempted to delete all of Ouragan’s "Heomopf" research data. However, this triggered a contingency protocol, and the base's 1VAN/3 computer core locked down the premises and and summoned the Zhukov to retrieve the data and destroy Ouragan.[4] After it did so, the Zhukov attacked the United States Colonial Marine Corps warship USS Tamb'Itam and absconded with the data. However, the MU/TH/UR core aboard the Tamb'Itam had successfully copied the data itself.[5]
