- "This UPP Destroyer has been sent to retrieve its operatives from Erebos and destroy the station. Equipped with an array of nuclear weapons, the formidable warship also carries a squad of highly trained Space Operating Forces commandos."
- ―Report concerning the SSV Snova Trakhnu (from Alien: The Roleplaying Game — Heart of Darkness)
The SSV Snova Trakhnu, also dubbed the Snova, was a modified VP-153D Kremlin-class Hunter-Destroyer in service with the Union of Progressive Peoples' Ministry of Space Security. In 2185, the Snova Trakhnu was deployed to the embattled Weyland-Yutani Corporation mining station Erebos to retrieve data from the United Americas Allied Command surveillance program Project Ironfish, and was destroyed by its own ordnance after it was attacked by a living construct that had consumed the station.
History[]
In 2185, the VP-153D Kremlin-class Hunter-Destroyer SSV Snova Trakhnu was dispatched to the Weyland-Yutani Corporation mining station Erebos in the 26 Draconis System by the Union of Progressive Peoples' Ministry of Space Security. Its mission was to retrieve UPP operatives Sezja Drabikowski and Héctor Navarre, both of whom were tasked with obtaining data related to the United Americas Allied Command surveillance program Project Ironfish from Erebos.
Upon its arrival at the site, the Snova sent a false–flag message to Erebos under the guise of a "Weyland" ship, and deployed a UPP-DS3 Accipiter dropship to retrieve the two operatives; however, Erebos, having been overtaken by a living Proto-Hive, attempted to use its appendages to crush the warship. The Snova hastily retaliated by firing its nukes at point–blank range, with the resulting detonation obliterating both itself and a section of the station. The Accipiter launched from the Snova was also attacked by the Proto–Hive, leaving Space Operating Forces member C’ng Pflüger as the sole survivor; despite the loss of both craft, Pflüger remained determined to deliver the Ironfish data to the UPP.[3]
