Rook was a Communications Officer aboard the fuel depot Sphacteria orbiting the gas giant Pylos. He and the crew would go on to experience a Xenomorph infestation after a mysterious salvage vessel approached the station.
Rook was first of the crew to fall victim to the creatures, being either killed or taken by them after they had fully matured.

With an unknown vessel approaching the Sphacteria, Captain Hassan attempted to contact the ship to no success. He asked Engineering Officer Wascylewski if anything on their ship stayed fixed to which he shifted the blame to Rook, much to his annoyance. Park pointed out that the ship contained Hypersleep chambers and that the crew may still be in stasis. Rook was less than sure, speculating that they may have been "raiders" like the ones they had had to deal with last year. Rook opted to ignore the ship altogether. Ultimately, Hassan suggested that he, Wassy, Park, Medic Harrow and Security Officer Torrenson take the shuttle to the ship and investigate.
The crew later returned with three passengers, two male twins and a female, all horribly burnt after they had attempted to open their chambers. As they regrouped at the flight deck, Wascylewski deduced that the crew had initiated emergency procedures aboard their ship, causing it to autopilot them to the nearest corporate location, in this case, the Sphacteria. Rook suggested that perhaps "they were in one hell of a hurry to hit the cryotubes", and also made mention of a presumed "cholera outbreak" around the frontier colonies. Hassan was suddenly contacted by Harrow, who called him down to the med bay.
Rook followed Hassan and the others to the medbay, where they saw Harrow and Park attempting to hold down the seizing female salvager. Though Rook questioned why Harrow could not give them more sedatives, he retorted that he gave them as much as he could give. Suddenly, two Chestbursters erupted from the twin's chests, with the crew looking on in horror as the creatures escaped into the depths of the fuel depot.

Rook was the first of the crew of the Sphacteria to perish to the now adult Xenomorphs, being taken and presumably killed.

Rook was one of the more fractious and immature members of the Sphacteria who didn't try hiding his bad mood. He was presumably an incompetent Comms officer, as he didn't seem to be held in particularly high regards by Hassan. He seemed to specifically dislike Wascylewski, whose teasing he did not take kindly to.
