Ronald N. Francis "Ron" Perlman (born April 13, 1950) is an American actor, voice actor, director, producer, writer and singer who played Johner in the 1997 film Alien Resurrection. He also presented the 1997 documentary HBO First Look: Alien Resurrection - Behind the Scenes. He is perhaps best known for his role as Hellboy in Hellboy (2004) and Hellboy II: The Golden Army (2008). Other notable films Perlman has appeared in include The City of Lost Children (1995), Enemy at the Gates (2001), Drive (2011), and Pacific Rim (2013). Aside from his work in film, Perlman has had an extensive career in television, stage and video games. On television he is perhaps best-known for his role as Clay Morrow in the crime drama series Sons of Anarchy (2008-2013).
Perlman has won a Golden Globe and been nominated for two Emmys.

Trivia
- Perlman is one of several actors from the Alien films who has also appeared in the Star Trek franchise. Others include Raymond Cruz, Brad Dourif, Idris Elba, Nicole Fellows, Jenette Goldstein, Leland Orser, Mark Rolston, Winona Ryder and Eddie Yansick. All but three of these individuals are from the cast of Alien Resurrection.
