Roger Maxwell Dicken (born 1939) is a British special effects artist and model builder who served as part of the creature effects crew on the 1979 film Alien. Specifically, he designed and constructed the Chestburster form of the Xenomorph, after the original design by H. R. Giger proved unsatisfactory. He also provided vocal effects for the Alien in Alien, although he was not credited for the role.[1]
