The character of Rebecca McBride was originally referred to as "Becca Shaw" a "devil-may-care journalist, and all around trouble magnet", in materials connected to the initial comic book release of the series. The name was apparently changed to Rebecca McBride somewhere in the development process. Similarly, Gideon Suhn Lee was referred to as "Nor".
