A Xenomorph Queen oversaw the hive on LV-412 and was used by the Super Predator Clan to breed the Super Predator-controlled Xenomorphs.
Biography[]
Deep in the hive on LV-412 where the Queen resided, she was attacked by Super Predator Clan who wished to capture her. The first Falconer to approach her was killed but the Berserker another used their plasmacaster to cause a column to fall on the Queen, incapacitating her. This caused several Drones to come to her aide and fight the Super Predators, though they were quickly dispatched and the Queen was captured in chains. The Super Predators then used her to breed their own army of controlled Xenomorphs and converted the temple above the hive into a training ground to test their new weapons.
The Weyland-Yutani Corporation began stealing eggs and using them to breed their own Xenomorphs, one of which would escape and free their siblings. Free from Super Predator control, they were on a quest to free the Queen by any means necessary. Meanwhile, a Yautja from the Jungle Hunter Clan is sent to purge the hive and kill the Queen to stop the Super Predators. This Warrior makes his way down to the hive and faces off against the Queen, who manages to break free from her chains on her own. Ultimately, the Warrior Yautja manages to outmaneuver the Queen and take her head as a trophy.
Trivia[]
- A presumably non-canon bonus mission in AVP: Evolution, unlocked by collecting all 7 secret items found throughout the game's Alien missions, allows you to play as the Queen, rampaging through a Colonial Marine base and then fighting a Power Loader. The final boss of this mission is an obvious reference to the iconic battle between Ellen Ripley and the First Acheron Queen in the 1986 film, Aliens.
- The fact that the Queen is able to break free of her restraints on her own in the final Predator mission leaves a massive plot hole as to why the Queen didn't just escape before. Though it is possible she knew that the Super Predators would kill her or just recapture her if caught escaping.
