Prince's Clan

Prince's Clan was a Yautja Clan operating in the early 23rd century. They were encountered on Korari and LV-1201.

History[]

Early history[]

The time of the Clan's formation is unknown. Prince appeared on Korari in July 2211, injuring USCMC Private Vassili Rykov but failing to kill him[1]. In fall 2230, the Clan was residing in the Nodus Secundus system when they intercepted a signal from the Ancient Predator, and chose to investigate.[2].

Hunt on LV-1201[]

On November 26, 2230, the Clan's Mother Ship arrived on LV-1201[3], the source of the signal, after a nine week journey[4]. They began their Hunt, killing various Xenomorphs and Weyland-Yutani personnel[5]. The First Light Predator and First Heavy Predator were captured on December 1 by W-Y forces using modified EMP Grenades derived from Yautja technology acquired at the Zeta Site[6][7], and later died in the Forward Observation Pods. Prince was also captured[8], but survived and managed to escape the Pods[9], reuniting with the Second Light Predator on January 6, 2231[10].


Encountering the Marines[]

Around the same time, the Second POC Predator and Assault Predator were hunting at the Primary Operations Complex where they encountered Colonial Marines that had recently arrived on the USS Verloc[11]. USCMC Corporal Andrew Harrison later killed the Second POC Predator[12]. Soon after, the Second Light Predator and Second Heavy Predator were killed by a Xenomorph Drone at the Auxiliary Landing Bay[13].

Prince's resolution[]

Prince, meanwhile, chased Rykov into the Engineer ruins beneath the Zeta Hive, where he killed a Xenomorph Queen and defeated Rykov in his Exosuit, finally claiming his trophy[14].

After the destruction of the Pods, the Clan left LV-1201 and pursued the Verloc as it headed back to Earth[15].

Trivia[]

  • The Clan arrives on LV-1201 on November 26, 2230, but the First POC Predator is already encountered a day earlier on November 25[16][17]. Whether or not this is another member of the same Clan that arrived earlier on its own is unknown. Other evidence, such as various Zeta Site relics, Dunya coming across a trophy cabinet with human skulls at the Zeta Site on September 22 and Expedition One's discovery of Predator technology on LV-1201 in 2221 (not to mention the Ancient Predator and company visiting LV-1201 in 1730), indicates the Yautja are regular visitors to LV-1201.
  • Aliens versus Predator 2: Primal Hunt incorrectly dates the Clan's arrival on LV-1201 as November 26[18].
  • Their Mother Ship looks very similar to the one depicted in Predator 2, suggesting that this could be the same clan as the Los Angeles hunting party. Also, both are active since the XVIII century as it's first suggested by the flintock pistol and then depicted in the 1996 comic Predator: 1718 in the case of City Hunter's Clan and depicted in Primal Hunt during the first alien level and the first and second predator levels in the case of Prince's Clan. Note that Primal Hunt came out in 2002 while Prey come out in 2022, so it could only be referencing Predator 2 and the 1996 comic.
