- "These guys are real jerks."
- ―Tyler upon witnessing Pig Iron torture the Xenomorph (from Alien vs. Predator: Thicker Than Blood)
Pig Iron[1] was a presumed Young Blood who, alongside his brother, Splitter, and father, Hook, boarded the luxury ship USSC Double Down after it had trespassed in an unknown sector of space, and began a slaughter of its inhabitants.
Pig Iron was killed by the captive Xenomorph aboard their Mother Ship, after it had managed to ambush him whilst he was momentarily distracted.
Biography[]

Maria and Tyler witness Pig Iron torturing the Xenomorph.
Pig Iron was the son of disgraced Yautja Elder, Hook.[2] In an unknown sector of space, Hook took him and his brother, Splitter, to a nearby planet to conduct a hunting ritual using a single Xenomorph they had captured, presumably for the purpose of blooding. However, upon noticing the USSC Double Down entering their territory, the Mother Ship boards the luxury ship and Hook and Splitter begin mercilessly slaughtering its passengers. Pig Iron opted to stay behind on the Mother Ship, instead filling his time by gleefully torturing the Xenomorph with his wrist-mounted flamethrower.
At some point, child civilians Maria and Tyler had managed to board the Mother Ship and bared witness to Pig Iron engulfing the Alien with his flamethrower. They snuck into the ship's deck, and Tyler attempted to access the controls, but was electrocuted by its handprint countermeasures.
Death and Legacy[]

Pig Iron is killed by the Xenomorph.
Upon hearing the commotion, Pig Iron turned his back on the Alien for a brief moment, giving the enchained creature the opportunity to pounce on him, bite into his neck and tear out his throat. After breaking free, the creature escaped into the Double Down, causing even greater chaos.
Maria would later use Pig Iron's flamethrower in combating the Xenomorph after allying herself with Hook to kill the creature.
Personality and Traits[]
Pig Iron was brash and sadistic, and derived an immature pleasure in tormenting the captive Xenomorph away from his brother and father's eyes. However, he was also careless, and was ultimately killed because of this.
Equipment[]
Pig Iron possessed a unique wrist-mounted flamethrower.
Trivia[]
- Pig Iron's name is never referred to within the series, but is instead revealed in an interview with Jeremy Barlow. In it, he also described Pig Iron and Splitter as "problem-children", with Pig Iron specifically branded a "jerk".[3]
- Pig Iron possessed a scar over his right eye, presumably a fire-related injury.
