- "Yeah... What are we gonna use for bait?"
- ―Gregor (from Alien3)
Peter Gregor[1] was an inmate at the Fiorina "Fury" 161 Class C Work Correctional Unit, one of several who stayed behind after the facility was officially closed down by Weyland-Yutani. He was involved in battling a lone Xenomorph that was born in the prison in 2179.
Gregor was involved in the rape attempt on Ellen Ripley. He was eventually killed acting as bait during a desperate attempt to lure the Xenomorph into the lead mold at the foundry alongside the prison.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Gregor was convicted of molestation and rape and was sentenced to Fiorina 161 for life.[1]
Ripley's arrival[]
Gregor was present when Ripley brazenly entered the prison mess hall to speak with Dillon, and she took a seat next to him. It was perhaps an act she would later regret, as Gregor was among the group of men who attempted to rape her in the prison's scrap heap, before being fought off and beaten by Dillon. When Gregor tried to crawl away in pain from Dillon, Ripley personally punched him in the face, leaving him lying on the ground.
The bait-and-chase[]
Gregor survived the quinitricetyline explosion that killed several other prisoners, although he was badly burned in the blaze. With the prison's medical technician Clemens dead, the survivors were forced to crudely bandage his wounds themselves, while Gregor took to injecting himself with painkillers taken from the prison's infirmary.[3] Despite his injuries, he took part in the plan to lure the Dragon into the mold at the lead foundry.
When the Dragon was first sighted within the foundry, Gregor and William quickly became lost within the maze of corridors, unable to find their assigned doors, although they managed to avoid encountering the creature for the time being.
Death[]
Within minutes, the plan devolved into chaos, with most of the prisoners being killed and Eric activating the piston prematurely, forcing the remaining survivors to attempt to lure it back into the chamber before the piston sealed the access. While running through the corridors of the lead works he collided with Morse. Having initially mistaken each other for the Dragon, they laughed and joked about the situation. However, as the two were distracted the actual Xenomorph abruptly struck with no warning, charging at Gregor and killing him with its inner jaw.
Special Edition[]
In the Special Edition, Gregor was set alight by an explosion during the quinitricetyline fire. After Aaron left him to burn, it was Junior and, ironically, Ripley who came to his aid, extinguishing the flames and helping him away from the raging inferno. Later, it is a match lit by Gregor, intended to light a cigarette for Morse, that gives the survivors the idea to move to the foundry, hoping that they will be safer there from Dragon than in the colony's assembly hall.
Personality and Traits[]
Gregor was a largely silent but incredibly menacing man. His crimes prove that he was a violent, amoral and sexually aggressive individual. Despite this, his participation in the bait and chase proves that he was not completely beyond redemption. Gregor was also one of the few atheist inmates at the prison and he did not share the faith felt by the majority of the others.[5] As with many of the prisoners, he was also a perpetual smoker.
