Peanut butter was an edible substance that could be used to repair the AM-16 Gruppa, a dedicated marksman rifle. Peanut butter could also be mixed with crackers to attract squirrels. During his boyhood, smuggler Frank Elgyn used peanut butter and crackers to lure the animals into a box trap.
