Paul Lee is an American comic book artist and book and children's book illustrator who has provided art for several comic books in Dark Horse Comics' Aliens and Predator lines.
Biography[]
Lee attended the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA and has since gone on to become a veteran comics artist and book illustrator.
In the comics field, Lee is perhaps best known for his work for years as one of the main cover artists for Dark Horse's long running Buffy the Vampire Slayer comics series.
He has also done other work for Dark Horse and other leading comics companies such as Marvel, DC, Vertigo, Image, IDW on projects such as Conan The Barbarian, Star Wars, Batman, Green Arrow, The Dreaming, The Hulk, and numerous others.
While Lee was at college, Lee began illustrating book covers for a major publisher. Later he told the publisher that he'd like to try his hand at illustrating a children's book. Thus he was able to illustrate his first children's book Amistad Rising, by Veronica Chambers, published in 1994. This was followed by The Good Luck Cat, written by Joy Harjo. He aspires to write his own children's book someday.
Lee also does book illustration and shows his work in art galleries.
Reportedly, the laid back Lee likes to work in his pajamas all day with the television on. He also prefers to draw while lying on the floor with all his materials spread around him over his artist's table.
