The Oni Predator[1] was a Yautja that went on a hunt during Japan's Feudal Era. He tried to kill the brothers Kenji and Kiyoshi, but he was finally killed by them instead.
History[]
In 1609, this mysterious Yautja traveled to Earth during Japan's Feudal Era, where he began to observe a now fully grown Kenji, a highly skilled and trained ninja warrior infiltrating his older brother's castle. The Predator himself silently waits and watches as the two brothers engage in an intense duel, where Kenji successfully defeats Kiyoshi in a sword fight, paying him back. After Kiyoshi falls into the castle's moat, the Predator soon reveals and shows himself as he immediately ambushes Kenji, chasing him through the castle's hallways, while making numerous attempts to kill his fleeing target. The Predator then kills most of the remaining guards that dare get in hiw way, slaughtering them mercilessly, before pursuing his chosen target Kenji straight up to the rooftops. Kenji narrowly manages to escape by jumping into the nearby river, where he is soon confronted by his injured brother Kiyoshi, who also survived the fall. The Oni Predator soon arrives to kill both of the brothers. The two brothers join forces and engage their otherworldly adversary in an intense final showdown, where they do eventually succeed in both seriously wounding and killing the formidable Predator, unfortunately Kiyoshi dies soon after from his fatal injuries, much to Kenji's grief and sadness.
Characteristics and Traits[]
This individual seemed to follow the Yautja Honor Code carried out by mainstream Yautjas, because he didn't attack Kenji from behind, or when he was dueling with his brother, Kiyoshi. Instead, he preferred to wait until both brothers had finished the duel and, once that was done, he showed up to fight on equal terms with Kenji. Although he occasionally activated his Cloak when duelling Kenji and later, Kiyoshi, the decision was attributed to his opponents surprisingly astute to notice his whereabouts despite the near-invisibility the device provided.
He was a very tall and thin Yautja. His appearance was very similar the typical Yautja, but he differed in some features, the most prominent of which were his jaws; he lacked upper mandibles, only lower ones, which were much larger and curved upwards in a slight diagonal.
Equipment[]
This Yautja' set of hunting gear were similar yet distinct to other members of his kind. Most notably, one of his signature weapons was Chain Whip, a long, retractable barbed chain extended from specialized wrist gauntlet and ended with pincer-like grappling hook, allowing it to be used to grab, pin, or slice foes from distance like actual whip. The Combistick he wielded had retractable blades which could be pulled out with enough force to slice through preys impaled by the weapon. The mines, which not unlike those of Feral Predator, were not deployed on the field where they would harm those who get too close; he programmed them to home in toward the target instead.
