The Neuro Visor[1] was an item of wearable technology that enabled a hypersleep maintenance overseer to use dream monitoring equipment to consciously enter the dreams of an individual in stasis and communicate with them.
History[]
While aboard the Weyland Corp exploration ship USCSS Prometheus during its mission to LV-223 in 2093, ship synthetic David used a Neuro Visor to monitor mission archeologist Elizabeth Shaw's dreams while she was in hypersleep, and again to converse with Peter Weyland while the latter was also in hypersleep.
Neuro Visors were also manufactured by the Union of Progressive Peoples. As of 2184, these devices were used in Project Morana, a UPP psychological warfare program based on Talos Station and revolving around the mind-swaying abilities of a Xenomorph Queen. During an attack on an Engineer temple on Arcturus by the Xenomorph-worshiping cult dubbed the Children of the Two Divines, a Project Morana Neuro Visor was utilized by cult leader Jannes Ruedi to tap into the dreams of several Engineers in stasis. Ruedi's attempt ended in disaster, sending him into a psychotic rage and causing the Engineer stasis chambers to catch fire.
