Mrs. Kane was the wife of Thomas Kane and the mother of Tsula Kane. Following the death of her husband on the commercial vessel USCSS Nostromo, Mrs. Kane fruitlessly attempted to gain illumination on the circumstances in which he had died. After failing to do so, she informed Tsula that one could lose everything "in a heartbeat", and that they were powerless to stop that happening.[1]
