The Military Procurement Plan was a weapons program instigated by the Three World Empire in 2170. The Weyland-Yutani Corporation's L36 Halberd assault rifle was accepted by the 3WE for the Royal Marines Commandos as part of the plan, beating out a submission from Armat Battlefield Systems.
