Michel Petrov was a teenager colonist from Zagreus during late 22nd century.

Biography[]

Early Life[]

He was born in Zagreus circa mid 2150's. He attended the school at the main settlement along with his classmates Kora Burton, Alisa, Paul Gladney, Lin and Juan.

During early 2170's, Michel hated his classmate Paul because he thought he had a mutual interest in Kora, which turned out to be totally untrue[1].

At one point in 2172, Michel read the arrival manifest of the Shipp family, and noticed there was only three people and an android. This prompted the teen to state one for the sisters, Viola, actually didn't existed, and was a ruse by the Shipps to scam the colony for more resources[2].

After Kora informed her classmates about Viola's existence, despite not actually meeting her and kissing Olivia in front of the class. Michel still treated Olivia harshly, in part due to his own interest in Kora and still being unconvinced about her sister. He almost had a fight with Olivia but the latter put him in place. Kora later invited him and four other classmates to a party that will take place in three days at the Shipp's residence.

Initial outbreak[]

"What did he do? What did your worthless fucking father do?!"
―Michel Petrov at Olivia Shipp (Alien: Echo).

Michel was present when the emergency lights and alarms at Shipp's residence turned on. He, as the rest of the attendants watched a recorded transmission by John Shipp, warning them about something on the abandoned vessel that had attacked and killed his mom and was now in the shuttle bound for Zagreus. A creature kills him seconds before the transmission is off. Michel promptly questioned Olivia about what happened, blaming her father for the whole situation.

He, Kora and Paul accompanied Olivia in search of Viola, after she had run away in search of her mother. On the way, he watched the shuttle crash into the mountains fifty miles away[3]. When they find Viola in the flower patch from earlier, they are immediately attacked by two aliens, resulting in Paul's death. The teens were saved when a Hippo stomped the remaining creature[4]. While heading for the wetlands in search of Olivia’s mother, Michel found a weapon in the emergency box but Kora snatches it from him, claiming he had failed his marksmanship classes twice[5]. They find Katherine hidden on the shore of a nearby lake, and together they return to the residence.

Race back to the Colony[]

Back at the residence, and after the group reunites with Lin, Alisa, and Juan. Michel listened as Katherine confessed the truth: The Viola everyone knows is actually an advanced android model created after the real Viola died from an autoimmune sickness when she had three years old. A xenomorph attacked the residence and Katherine sacrificed herself to allow the teenagers to escape back to the colony. During their ride onboard the ATV, Michel snapped and attacked Olivia. Kora threatened him with the volt gun[6].

Capture and Death[]

"She’s not your sister, She’s a damn machine."
―Michel Petrov, about Viola. (Alien: Echo)

At the colony gates, Michel denied Viola entry, arguing that she is not a "real person", He bashed Kora when she tried to stop him from physically assaulting Olivia, He grabbed her by the hair so hard that Viola had to cut it with the machete[7]. At that moment he was captured by one of the creatures which had tracked them.

Michel was dragged back to the recently established Hive in the caves, where he was cocooned and promptly impregnated by a facehugger. The unconscious young man was later found by Olivia and Kora during their raid on the hive[8]. His still beating heart shielded them when one of the creatures stalked them[9]. He was presumably dead when the chestburster inside him hatched.

Traits and Personality[]

Michel Petrov is described as a tall teenager, at least one foot taller than Olivia Shipp. He has a flushed ruddy face and dried grass colored hair, like if it tried to match the color of Zagreus sky.[10]

Appearences[]

Trivia[]

  • Despite Olivia noticed the marks on his lips made by an ovipositor, there's no evidence of the dead facehugger nor the egg near him.
