Mathes was a crewmember who was part of the crew of the Geryon sent on a 'salvage mission' on the moon LV-223.
She and another was subdued by a Facehugger during a Xenomorph ambush after the crew had come across an old vessel, the Onager, from Hadley's Hope located on the neighboring moon LV-426.
Mathes and the other, were brought back to the Geryon and put in Cryo.

Due to the attack on the Geryon by Elden, Xenomorphs and Yautjas, Mathes and the other crew members fate are unknown.
