Mahershalalhashbaz Ali (born Mahershalalhashbaz Gilmore; February 16, 1974), known professionally as Mahershala Ali, is an American actor who played Mombasa in the 2010 film Predators, as well as the 2010 short film The Chosen. He also lent his voice to the character in the 2010 motion comic Moments of Extraction. Other notable films Ali has appeared in include The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008) and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 1 (2014). Aside from his work in film, Ali has had an extensive career in television.
