Dr. Lucien Keitel was a founding member of the Geholgod Institute, who, in his quest to discover knowledge of the Xenomorphs, performed unethical experiments on "volunteers" to breed the creatures. Despite this and all the other nefarious deeds he had done, his morals remained intact, though his sanity was not. Keitel was aware of how wrong the experiments were but said they were necessary, later giving his findings to Alecto Throop.
