Lander Two was one of two Class E Lander-Type Drop Shuttles assigned to the Weyland-Yutani Corporation colony ship USCSS Covenant, alongside Lander One. In 2103, prior to the Covenant's launch, the fanatical Earthsavers, who were bent on halting the ship's departure from Earth, hijacked a supply shuttle and set it on a collision course with the Covenant. Chief terraformist Katherine Daniels proposed using a lander to intercept the shuttle, and Captain Jacob Branson ordered ship's computer Mother to prepare Lander Two for emergency departure; however, as such an action would result in destruction of terraforming equipment, Branson's order was refused. With no other options remaining to the crew, pilot Tennessee Faris was able to manually program Lander Two to collide with the attackers' shuttle. Both craft were destroyed in the explosion.[2]
