The Kramer Short–Barrel was a hand–held riot gun built under license from Kramer Metallarbeiten GmBH by Armat Battlefield Systems and used by the United States Colonial Marine Corps during the late 22nd century.

The Kramer Short–Barrel was designed for use at close quarters against chitinous species on the Frontier and lightly armored targets during riots.[1]
Overview[]
Despite being small and having a reduced ammunition capacity, the Short–Barrel compensated for its drawbacks by virtue of being quick to reload, its armor–penetrating abilities, and packing potent stopping power.[1]
Notable users[]
The Short–Barrel was the first Kramer weapon to be released after the Armat Battlefield Systems buyout contest ended, and was the first Kramer product not available on the civilian market. Originally released in 2189 for colonial and urban law enforcement, the weapon saw service among the Colonial Marines, private military contractors, several mining crews, and law enforcement agencies. The weapon was also popular among the Union of Progressive Peoples' soldiers, though it was difficult for them to acquire.[1]
