Jessica "Jesse" Salinger[4] was a resident of Gunnison, Colorado. In 2004, she became involved in the Xenomorph outbreak that ultimately led to the destruction of the town.

Jesse was inadvertently killed by Wolf in the town's hospital, trying to reach the facility's helicopter so that she could escape the town.

Jesse's death.

Early Life[]

Jesse is a Gunnison resident and she was in a relationship with Dale, but dumps him because of his violent behavior. Jesse then began flirting with Ricky, who she knew since childhood. She meets Ricky at the swimming pool at night and attempted to seduce Ricky, who had feelings for her. However they were interrupted by Dale and his friends, which caused a fight to break out.

The Xenomorph Invasion[]

During the fight they encountered a Xenomorph. They attempted to flee and succeeded in escaping the school but not without casualities. Jesse and the survivors then went to find the sheriff in order to report what they had seen. She then joins Ricky, his brother, the sheriff, Kelly, her daughter and Dale to protect herself against the Xenomorphs. She later decides to go with Ricky and his brother, Kelly and her daughter to the hospital to escape the town, when Kelly warned about the possibility of an eradication of the town by the military to stop the infestation. Jesse along with the other survivors went to the hospital to use the helicopter on the roof.

During a gun battle with a hive of Xenomorphs, Jesse panicked and ran off down the hospital hallway. At that moment Wolf was battling Xenomorphs and threw his shurikens at them which killed them but kept going until one of them hit Jesse, which pinned her to the wall, killing her instantly.

Personality and Traits[]

Despite being a popular girl with Dale and his friends, Jesse seems to show more down to earth qualities as she talks with Ricky, when he delivers food to her house. She eventually sees Dale for what he is and dumps him in favor to go meet up with Ricky. Jesse also showed a flirtatious side, when she stripped in front of Ricky teasing him, if he was looking at the clock now.

  • Jesse's full name is never mentioned in the film or any related promotional material; it is only given in the shooting script for the film.[4]
  • Jesse's death is significantly more gruesome in the unrated cut of the film. Rather than just being pinned against the wall by Wolf's shuriken as she is in the theatrical version, she is completely sheared in half by it with the lower half of her body falling to the floor and her insides spilling out.
