The Incunabulum.

The Incunabulum was a terraforming transport vessel[1] used by Jason and Lucian Church to travel from site to site as part of their work.[2] Whilst transporting passengers to the colony RLW 1289, the vessel unknowingly set down on a Xenomorph-infested moon, leading to the death of all but one of its crew and passengers.

  • The word "incunabulum" refers to a very early printed book, specifically those produced before 1501. The word is derived from Latin for swaddling clothes and is used to indicate that these books are the work of a technology still in its infancy. In this regard its use in Aliens: Labyrinth could be a reference to how the rest of the young Paul Church's life is moulded by the events that befall the crew of the vessel.
