The huntsman spider was a non–venomous species of spider. A number of huntsman spiders had taken up residence in the electrical ducting of the National Data Corporation's Charybdis complex on LV-991. McAllen Integrations technician Cheyenne Hunt encountered a nest while working on the case's systems; though initially startled, she was assured by local management that the spiders were harmless. Another aggregation of spiders was later found by fellow technician Joanna Hardy.
