The Heliades was humanity's first crewed FTL capable spacecraft. Launched in 2031 by Weyland Corp, it was the first ship of its class. The ship was smaller than its successor, the USCSS Prometheus, although they belonged to the same class. By the early 2070s, Heliades had made hundreds of flights into the solar system and beyond. It could travel 10 to 15 times faster than the speed of light. It was also the flagship of Weyland Corporation's fleet for decades.
