Hamidah Amir was a former member of the Three World Empire's Royal Marines Commandos and a crewmember aboard the United Nations Interstellar Settlement Corps vessel UNCSS Solovetsky Island. In 2186, Amir took part in the UNISC's Great Mother Mission.
Biography[]
Initially a member of the Three World Empire's Royal Marines Commandos, Hamidah Amir later joined the crew of the United Nations Interstellar Settlement Corps exploratory vessel UNCSS Solovetsky Island. As of 2182, the Solovetsky Island was attached to the colony ship UNCSS Ìyánlá as part of the UNISC's Great Mother Mission, which was launched to reestablish contact with the lost Far Spinward Colonies.[1]
During the mission in 2186, Amir accompanied a detachment from the Solovetsky Island to the surface of the wild planet KOI-784.01. At some point, Amir was torn between her loyalty to the Interstellar Commerce Commission and a desire for monetary profit when ICC insoector and fellow crewmember Tan Blatchman insisted on all finds being strictly regulated.[1]
Personality and traits[]
Hamidah Amir was resourceful and strong–willed. She was appalled at the New Albion Protectorate's temerity in breaking away from the Three World Empire, and was aggrieved at fellow crewmember and 3WE national Lakota Monroe's support for the separatists. Though initially outwardly tolerant of Monroe's opinion for the sake of unity, Amir was increasingly aggravated as Monroe became more vocal, and would willingly attack her to make a point. While on KOI–784, Amir was particularly alert, viewing every dark area as posing a potential risk.[1]
Equipment[]
Amir carried an M41A Pulse Rifle and an ES-7 Supernova Electrostatic Shockgun, along with a combat knife. She also wore a beret and personal armor.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
Hamidah Amir appears as a non–player character during the campaign in Alien: The Roleplaying Game — Building Better Worlds, and features in the second mission, "To Go My Own Dark Way". The event "Quarantine is Not a Dirty Word" also revolves around Amir; how the event affects the overall campaign depends on player actions.[1]
