- "...I got something fer you..."
- ―The "Gollywomp" (from Predator: Strange Roux)
A lone Yautja, mistaken by LeBlanc as the fabled "Gollywomp", conducted a hunt in Bayou Larfourche during the 1930s.
It was later killed by LeBlanc after tricking him into entering a pit of quick sand, who went on to cook the hunter into a soup to eat.
Biography[]
- "Big John! He's too small! You need somebody big, like me. I got a lot' o skin."
- ―LeBlanc to the 'Gollywomp' (from Predator: Strange Roux)
During an unknown period, a lone Predator landed on Earth and began hunting in the American state of Louisiana in the 1930s. At some point, he was wandering the swamps of Bayou Lafouche after killing a human, skinning and eating the flesh of muskrats caught in traps.
The Predator was later encountered by two hunters, accompanied by the Cajun LeBlanc, though he was unaware of their presence. He was perceived by the group as the Gollywomp, an urban myth of a man named Big John who transformed into a monster, flaying people he encountered in hopes of passing off as a human by wearing their skin. The Predator itself may have served as a basis for the myth.
The 'Gollywomp' was busy cleaning a trophy, before suddenly noticing the group. One of the hunters shot at the Predator with his shotgun, but only grazed the Predator's Dreadlocks. The 'Gollywomp' retaliated by impaling the man against a tree with a well-placed throw of his Combistick. The other man fled, but was caught by the Predator. In a panic, he shot the Predator in the face point blank, wounding him. The trapper caught up with LeBlanc, but the Gollywomp used his Smart Disc and knocked the man down. He subsequently blew a hole through LeBlanc's shoulder with his Speargun, before killing the trapper by stabbing him with his Wristblades.
Showdown with LeBlanc and death[]
- "You make a mighty fine pot 'o gumbo, mister Gollywomp. Mighty fine."
- ―LeBlanc (from Predator: Strange Roux)
Following the trail of blood from the wound, the Predator tracked LeBlanc to the other side of a creek, armed with a wooden spear. Expecting an honorable duel, the Gollywomp removed his equipment and deliberately wounded his arm to be on equal terms with his foe, before rushing towards LeBlanc across the creek. However, it was revealed that the creek was a sand trap, and the 'Gollywomp' was shocked to realize that LeBlanc had tricked him into entering quicksand. A triumphant LeBlanc mocked the creature as the Predator sunk into the quicksand and drowned, mimicking his laughter.
The Predator's corpse was later retrieved by LeBlanc, and cooked into a gumbo to be eaten.
