Gkyaun was an un-Blooded Yautja and a member of Dachande's Clan.

He took part in an initiation Hunt on Ryushi with ten others, led by Dachande himself. However, the hunt would go awry, leaving Dachande incapacitated and Tichinde to assume the role as the de facto Leader. The remaining students found themselves stranded, facing both the Xenomorphs they had seeded and hostile humans from the colony of Prosperity Wells. The debacle ultimately led to the death of the entire Yautja party.

Gkyaun was sent by Tichinde to scout ahead within Prosperity Wells, only to be killed fighting several Xenomorphs as they swarmed into the colony from the Lector.

Biography

Gkyaun was a member of Dachande's clan aboard the Mother Ship Ne'dtesei.

Dachande would go on to choose the planet of Ryushi to conduct Gkyaun and the other Un-blooded's initiation hunt. Unbeknownst to them was that the human colony of Prosperity Wells had established itself on the planet.

Stranded

Gkyaun and his pack landed over the horizon of Prosperity Wells. The Yautja were subsequently discovered by accident by Dr. Kesar Revna, the latter attempting to flee on his hoverbike. During his escape, he accidentally killed Chulonte, incapacitated Dachande, and drove into the Predator's shuttle, destroying it and killing the two Blooded adjutants Skemte and Warkha.

Stranded, the pack debated what to do next. Though Gkyaun suggested saving Dachande, fellow Un-blooded, Tichinde, angrily refuted his suggestion, claiming that Dachande was lost. After Tichinde killed 'Aseigan for dissention, he assumed the role as the packs new Leader, and went on to lead them on a revenge campaign against the humans.

Battle against the Xenomorphs and Death

Gkyaun 'saving' Machiko.

Upon reaching Prosperity Wells, Tichinde had sent Gkyaun ahead to scout the colony. There, he noticed a horde of Xenomorphs surrounding the colony administrator Machiko Noguchi. Deeming the opportunity too great, Gkyaun armed himself and attacked the horde head-on, inadvertently rescuing Machiko - he chose to save her for later.

Gkyaun is overpowered by the creatures.

Gkyaun had slain several Xenos, and he began indulging in delusions of self-grandeur. However, his narrow-minded strategy of charging the horde would ultimately be his downfall, as the creatures began swarming him at all sides. The Xenos eventually overpowered and killed him. As Machiko fled, she compared Gkyaun to a "Karateka who had mastered his style, but had never faced an opponent in actual combat", deeming his strategy poor and his death "pointless".

Gkyaun was reckless and undisciplined, giving into the temptation of killing Xenos and abandoning his orders. Upon encountering the human species, Gkyaun held them in low regards, and was shocked at their feebleness given the stories he was told as a pup.

Gkyaun was able to kill several Xenomorphs within a short span of time, showing immense promise as a hunter - even Dachande had only killed two in his initiation hunt. However, he had severely underestimated his targets, and he paid for his poor strategy by being overwhelmed and killed by the horde.
