Frederick Munston, otherwise known as Fred, was the director of the Weyland-Yutani Corporation's Special Operations Center on the Outer Rim Territories planet of Torin Prime as of 2179. In that year, Munston was contacted by Michael Bishop; Bishop, having achieved virtual consciousness, entrusted Munston with intelligence regarding the Xenomorph species.

Frederick Munston disliked small talk and considered other employees at the Special Operations Center, including the receptionist, to be beneath him. Munston also deemed Michael Bishop as arrogant.
