The Flaying tool in use
A Flaying Tool was first seen in Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem, used by the Yautja Bonegrill to dissect an already-dead Xenomorph whilst the Gunnison Predalien skulked about their dropship.

Anatomy[]
The Flaying Tool is 'Y' shaped, its prongs spaced slightly apart. It is meant to be grabbed at the bottom and emits a laser from between the two prongs hot enough to simply and easily peel skin off of a yet-flayed trophy. While it is undoubtedly used by most Yautja to skin their victims as a ritual of the hunt, as observed in Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem, the Yautja also use it for research purposes, cutting open Xenomorphs to study their anatomies. The Flaying Tool has not made any other appearances since the film, though its handiwork is seen in the form of flayed corpses.
