Erebos was a Resurrection–class plasma trawling rig and platform built by the Kelland Mining Company and established in the 26 Draconis System by the Weyland-Yutani Corporation to channel plasma from the Ablassen Black Hole. In 2185, Erebos was attacked by a dangerous race of genetically enhanced humans and transformed into a biomechanical organism.

Built by the Kelland Mining Company and designated as a Resurrection-class plasma trawling rig and platform, Erebos was cruciform in shape. It was built from repurposed starship and refinery components, and featured ten decks. The station was equipped with trawling arms to extract plasma from the stars crushed by the Ablassen Black Hole; plasma thus mined would be transferred through an energy distillery and converters before being stored in energy cells for transport to the Frontier. The plasma harvester vessel USCSS Cetorhina was assigned to the latter duty.
