Deep Void was a clandestine organization involved in researching and experimenting with the dangerous Xenomorph species. Deep Void's activities were completely independent and unsanctioned by the United States Colonial Marine Corps, Weyland-Yutani Corporation, or any other legitimate body, and the organization was responsible for several atrocities on worlds such as KOI-571.02 and LV-846.

History[]

Although no concrete date of its founding existed, Deep Void was rumored to have been formed in the early 2100s after the Colonial Marine outpost Tanburro Station intercepted what were thereafter referred to as the "David transmissions". These transmissions consisted of messages sent from the Weyland-Yutani Corporation colony ship USCSS Covenant by the eponymous synthetic, and concerned the applications of a dangerous pathogen. From that point on, Deep Void sought to utilize David's research for their own ends.

In 2177, Deep Void member General Delyla Vaughn of the United States Colonial Marine Corps was instrumental in the cover–up of a Xenomorph outbreak on the Seegson orbital refinery Katanga. The Weyland-Yutani Corporation cultivated the Xenomorph Hive aboard the refinery and used it to harvest the creatures for study and experimentation. In 2184, Deep Void unleashed a swarm of engineered Biodrone Xenomorphs at Corinth Colony on the Union of Progressive Peoples planet KOI-571.02, which resulted in the destruction of the colony and the nearby Ouragan Testing Facility. Another Biodrone horde was released at the Pushan Conference and Business Complex on LV-846 in 2187, disrupting a vital cross-political summit.
