David Chester "Dave" Gibbons (born April 14, 1949) is an English comic book artist and writer who has worked on several comic books in Dark Horse Comics' Aliens and Predator lines. He also provided cover art for Aliens magazine for Dark Horse International.

A veteran and much acclaimed comics creator, Gibbons is most well known as the artist and co-creator (with writer Alan Moore) of the groundbreaking series Watchmen for DC Comics in 1985. He was also artist/co-creator of the similarly acclaimed Martha Washington series with famous writer Frank Miller, also for Dark Horse.
