Living on Earth within the chaotic suburbs of Barabazon, Darryl Zither was host to the morally ambiguous TV show, "Goad". During one episode, in which he gives his viewers the opportunity to decide a killer's fate, he has billionaire CEO of the company "Skank", Ivy Derringer guest star. Derringer went on to promote her luxury resort on the recently terraformed asteroid, Celeste, purchased by her from the USCM. She subsequently invited him to join her, to which he accepted. Afterwards, he received a call from Uncle Saul, a local barman, citing that he had an interesting item for him.
Zither arrived at the bar, and Saul presented to him a strange, sickly pink Ovomorph. Mesmerized, Darryl closely inspected the egg, before a Facehugger suddenly attacked and subdued him. Zither's two associates were forced at gunpoint by Uncle Saul to drag him out of the bar and back to his quarters, where they ultimately dumped him.
Some time later, Darryl is slapped awake by Ivy, annoyed that he had slept through their "date". Ivy took Zither to her shuttle, the latter incredibly lethargic, despondent and totally unaware that he had been impregnated.

Ivy eventually brought him into her personal suite, and attempted to enticed him into sexual intercourse. Suddenly, Darryl began seizing, and a large Chestburster explodes out of his chest, killing him. The creature went on to attack and kill Derringer.[1]
Personality and Traits[]
Despite his on-screen charisma and womanizing skills, Zither was ultimately a sleazy, egotistical individual with a lacking in basic intelligence, attempting to lick the pink Ovomorph presented to him out of curiosity.[1]
