"Kid, there's a Smartgun with your name on it right there. Grab it, we've got hostiles inbound."
Danone (from Aliens vs. Predator)

Danone[2] was a member of the United States Colonial Marine Corps, part of the 1st Battalion, 3rd Regiment.[3] He was stationed aboard the USS Marlow, dispatched to BG-386 in response to a Xenomorph outbreak at the Freya's Prospect colony and the nearby Weyland-Yutani facility. During the BG-386 operation, he was part of Zulu Team.

The mission was a disastrous failure, with the Marlow being destroyed and virtually all of the Marines deployed being killed. Danone was last seen holding the area around the crashed dropship Typhoon; his exact fate is unknown, although it is highly likely he was killed on the planet.

Biography

When Typhoon was shot down and Corporal Tequila was captured by the Xenomorphs, Danone's squad, Zulu Team, moved into the area to try and rescue the Corporal. Danone was assigned guard duty at the crash site while the majority of the squad searched the ruins for Tequila's location. Zulu Team was later attacked by Dark, yet Danone and Roper survived the incident, and met with Rookie when he too arrived at the crash site.

A large group of Xenomorphs attacked the area, but the three Marines managed to drive them off. After rendezvousing with Connor, Rookie continued the search for Tequila while Danone and Roper continued to hold the crash site in case other survivors arrived. Their ultimate fate is not known.

Equipment

Danone was equipped with the standard issue M3 Pattern Personal Armor and an M10 Pattern Ballistic Helmet for protection, with a TNR Shoulder Lamp attachment, and carried a ZX-76 Shotgun as his primary weapon.

Trivia

  • Of the two Marines found guarding Typhoon's crash site, it seems to be significantly more difficult to keep Danone alive through the Xenomorph assault. Whereas Roper will usually survive to attack with even minimal assistance from the player, Danone will be killed very quickly and requires great care (and a degree of luck) on the player's part to get him through the fight.
