Cut Clamp [1][2] was both a cutting tool and throwing weapon used by the Yautja.
Appearing as a segmented blade with a claw-like hook at one end and a mechanism to activate it, the Cut Clamp curled up into an almost disc-like shape while unused. Although typically hurled in a fashion not unlike the Electroshock Bolas, the Cut Clamp would shred through whatever it wrapped around instead of restraining them. There was also the chance of the device getting stuck on the target, despite being designed to cut through even metal.
The Feral Predator brought at least one Cut Clamp during his hunt in the 18th century Great Plains, using it to free himself from a bear trap set up by French fur trappers led by Big Beard, which had clamped down on his foot as he approached. After shredding the bear trap and killing his way through several trappers, he threw the Cut Clamp at one voyageur who shot at him with a pistol, knocking the voyageur off his feet. The injured French fur trapper, whose right leg had been sliced off by the Cut Clamp, would later meet Naru who then took the Cut Clamp with her while treating his amputated leg, before later knocking out Big Beard as he drank by a river. Naru later used the Cut Clamp to slice off Big Beard's leg while he was unconscious, causing several rats to crawl onto him and eat what remained of his leg, with Naru using him as bait for the Feral Predator.
